Sir Ronald Cohen, the City grandee who co-founded the private equity group Apax Partners, is being asked to approve the sale of a stake in the group to a triumvirate of investors from the Far East and Australia.
Apax will announce the sale of a 10 per cent stake in a permanent capital vehicle (PCV) to the Australia Government Future Fund, the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (GIC) and an undisclosed Japanese firm by the end of the month.
