Singapore - A housewife was convicted of ordering her dog to attack her Indonesian maid during a fit of rage, news reports said on Saturday. Tay Siew Hoon was found guilty after a 25-day-long trial in which the prosecutor described a night of abuse imposed on the 22-year-old maid nearly three years ago.
The woman ordered her shih-tzu to attack after quarrelling with her husband earlier, the court heard. She is the first Singaporean to be found guilty of ordering an animal to attack a maid.
