Singapore's DBS Group expects 2008 to be a challenging year, after the bank reported on Wednesday a 2.3% drop in first-quarter net profit. "The [earnings] outlook is challenging ... but we do see opportunities despite the interest rate environment," DBS Chairman Koh Boon Hwee told a briefing for the media and analysts on Wednesday.
