Visa, a sponsor of the Olympic Games since 1986, has announced it is supporting Singapore’s bid for the 2010 Youth Olympic Games.
Meranda Chan, Country Manager – Singapore and Brunei, Visa International, said in a media release “Singapore already has much to be proud of, not least of which are its world class infrastructure, sound financial environment, dynamic tourism economy and international appeal – all qualities that are integral to be able to successfully host an event on the calibre of the Olympic Games. As we come closer to the announcement date we wish Singapore all the best in its bid to host the 2010 Youth Olympic Games”.
To show its support Visa has placed specially designed banners across the island and Visa staff based in Singapore show their support through a specially designed message appended to their e-mail signatures.
