Singapore Tourism Board to embark on four-city road show, starting February 20

Singapore Tourism Board will embark on a four-city road show in India to showcase Singapore to the travel agents in the country. The road show begins on February 20, 2008 in New Delhi and moves on to Mumbai on February 22. The South India leg of the road show starts in Bangalore on February 27 and ends in Chennai on February 29.

The road show will bring in 26 participants from Singapore, which includes 11 travel agents, five hotels and 10 tourist attractions. The new offerings this year include The Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands and The 2008 Formula 1™ SingTel Singapore Grand Prix.

Siew-Kheng Kang, Regional Director, South Asia, Middle East and Africa, Singapore Tourism Board, said, "This roadshow will be one of our biggest! We want to actively engage our trade partners in India to create the platform for business exchange and excite them with all the new experiences that we have to offer."

"Apart from the world-class attractions like Singapore Zoo and Sentosa Resort Island, Singapore we are looking to present to India, some upcoming attractions like the giant observation wheel, The Singapore Flyer, which will offer breathtaking views of Singapore and the surrounding areas, the Marina Bay Sands, that will lend itself as an iconic must-visit dining, shopping, and entertainment hub, and there is also the Formula 1™ Singapore Grand Prix, which will be the first night race of its kind in the world that tracks through the civic precinct of Singapore," he added.
