Innovative Interfaces Inc. of Emeryville has inked a deal to provide a full digital library software system to Singapore Management University's Li Ka Shing Library, which serves 5,400 students there.

"Two years ago we recognized that we needed not only an (integrated library system) but also a total package that included the newest tools to make library users' experiences similar to their Internet experiences," Ruth Pagell, the university's librarian, said in a statement.

The library will use Millenium, Innovative's software for tracking library catalogs, acquisitions, circulation and other library data. It will also use Encore, software that integrates libraries' digital collections with patron-contributed information.

Thousands of libraries in more than 40 countries use Innovative's software.

Terms of the deal were not released.
