Singapore became the sixth launch location worldwide for SAP’s BusinessByDesign hosted software today.
BusinessByDesign is an enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool with applications catering to business processes such as finance, human resource, supply chain management, project management, compliance management. The solution also has a built-in business analytics function.
The software is an expansion of SAP’s previous Software as a Service offering, SAP CRM on-demand, said Hans-Peter Klaey, president, SME, and corporate officer, SAP. CRM on-demand only covers customer relationship management.
The subscription-based application is targeted at companies with 100 to 500 employees. “It is for companies who want to get things right [the first time they adopt ERP], achieve immediate return on investment and have no time to spend on extensive pilots,” added Klaey.
The system will complement SAP’s other ERP tools, the SAP Business One and SAP Business All-in-One applications. The SAP Business One is aimed at companies with fewer than 100 employees while the later is for organisations with fewer than 2,500 employees.
Subscription prices in Singapore start at a monthly fee of US$149 ($211) per user for software, infrastructure, services and support costs, with a minimum of 25 users to be licensed per customer.
SAP is now signing on business channel partners in Singapore.
