HONG KONG -- Television for infants takes a few more baby steps around Asia with BabyTV skedded to preem in Singapore on Friday.
The U.K.-based net, which is backed by Fox Intl. Channels, will be available as a commercials-free paid-for option on StarHub's digital cable system. After a week's free trial, cost will be S$4.28 ($3) per month.
Channel, aimed at kids under three years old, is also debuting in Taiwan where it has recently begun as a daily morning block on YoYoTV.
Elsewhere in Asia it is available as a feed on PCCW's Now TV platform, on Hana TV and Mega TV in South Korea, on Indovision in Indonesia and on B-Net in the Maldives. It show as syndicated blocks on Japan's NatGeo and FoxHD channels and on the VT3 channel in Vietnam and Cambodia.
