After rolling out the Pioneer Package which in reality provides very limited real financial help, Lee Hsien Loong has been harping on the manpower shortage and how the PAP government intends to help the SMEs.
If there is indeed a manpower shortage, why are we seeing a mushrooming of shopping malls particularly in Jurong? Why do we need 5 mega malls in Jurong when they all sell the same things?
Aren't these commercial malls taking away much needed manpower resources from the SMEs?
