Yesterday (10 Feb), TRE received the above photo of an invite extended to a Filipino, Alvin Dela Cruz Moreno. It is not known if the invitee is an expatriate, a Singapore permanent resident or a new Singapore citizen.
The sender said that the Filipino invitee is a friend of his, working in Singapore. The invitee also posted photos of himself taken with the Ministers at the party, the sender said.
Is the Filipino an ex-advisor who stood down after the last general election? Is he a PA’s grassroots member? What are his contributions to Singapore?
Even assuming that the Filipino opted to become a Singapore new citizen and serve in PA as a grassroots member, did he contribute to Singapore much more than what Dr Tan Cheng Bok did over the many years? Full story
