Two Indian nationals caught at airport trying to smuggle gold bars from Singapore into India

The Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) of the airport customs department recently apprehended two Indians for allegedly smuggling gold bars by concealing it inside specifically stitched pockets in their jeans.
The AIU team, headed by deputy commissioner Rishi Yadav, held the duo after they arrived at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) from Singapore on a Singapore Airways flight. The information about the smuggling was based on specific intelligence inputs received by AIU. Full story
