Ex top civil servant Ngiam Tong Dow has suddenly retracted several statements he made last month in a controversial interview with the Singapore Medical Association News.
He said that he had given the “wrong impression” and that some of his accusations were “unfair”.
During the interview, Ngiam had made several statements which were quickly picked up and spread online.
He had said that due to the high salaries of the ministers, they are probably too afraid to speak up against the PM as they wouldn’t want to lose their salaries. He also called the current ministers elitist. Full story
