Hong Kong Standard, 29 Aug 2013
A senior official of Singapore's National Parks Board has been charged with providing false information to the government over a bicycle purchase deal.
The Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau said in a statement that in July 2012, the NParks assistant director Bernard Lim Yong Soon, 42, had told auditors at the Ministry of National Development that he did not have a personal relationship with Lawrence Lim Chun How, director of Bikehop Singapore.
Bernard Lim was also charged with instigating Lawrence Lim to lie about their relationship to public officials, The Straits Times reported.
NParks had purchased 26 Brompton bikes from BikeHop in 2012. Link
