The Vihari Poddar saga is taking an unexpected twist with officials of the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) claiming that her husband and Siyaram Mills promoter Abhishek Poddar has been absconding.
DRI officials on their part claimed to have tried issuing summons to Abhishek, but without success. On Monday, DRI officials took the court's permission and went to Byculla Jail to take Vihari's statement.
