Singapore shipping research jobs out to China

Education Minister Heng Swee Keat will be in China on a four-day visit from May 26 to May 30.
On May 29, Mr Heng will officiate the opening of the National University of Singapore (Suzhou) Research Institute (NUSRI) in Suzhou Industrial Park.
NUSRI is the university’s first overseas research institute and the first research institute set up by an overseas university in the Suzhou Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District.
The SSUE Programme, jointly proposed by then-Singapore Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong and then-Chinese Vice President Hu Jintao, was set up in May 2002. Full story
