Malaysians in Singapore defy police warning, staged 2nd protest at Merlion Park on Saturday afternoon

Despite 9 Malaysian FTs being warned by the Police for actively participating in an illegal protest staged at Merlion Park in Marina Bay on Wed night (8 May) (‘100 M’sian FTs stage illegal protest at Merlion Park‘), another group of Malaysians staged a second protest at the same venue this afternoon (11 May), defying the warnings from Singapore Police.
The Malaysians were protesting against alleged fraud in the recent Malaysian general election held on 5 May 2013. Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim in Malaysia had called for protests against the alleged fraud. Full story
