Indonesian police uncovered 3 kg of drugs smuggled out from Singapore airport into Batam

Authorities at Hang Nadim Airport in Batam, Riau Islands, uncovered on Monday a total of more than 3 kilograms of drugs, estimated at more than Rp 6 billion (US$616,000) in street value.
The authorities found shabu-shabu (crystal methamphetamine) without a suspect for the third time in the past week. The contraband was smuggled in to Batam from Singapore and Malaysia.
The airport's land operation division head Saiful Bahri told The Jakarta Post on Monday the discovery of more than 4 kg of crystal meth took place twice in a row. Full story
