Two meat suppliers have been fined in court for selling mutton that was really beef or mixed with beef.
The National Environment Agency (NEA) said in a media statement today that beef was found in samples of minced and chopped meat sold by Basha Meat Supplier and Nabisha Mutton Supplier.
Nabisha Mutton Supplier was fined the maximum S$5,000 under the Sale of Food Act in October.
Basha Meat Supplier was fined S$4,000 yesterday. Full story
