Singapore's helping hands bring humane aid, build strong friendships

Recently, the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) started its second Water for Life project in Cambodia's Kampong Speu province, winning applause from the Cambodia media. Among Cambodia's 11 million people, 4.5 million have no access to clean water. Two years ago, Singapore decided to help provide clean water in Cambodia.
The SIF provides clean drinking water to the 800 households, while each household pays a nominal fee of $2 to have a water filter installed. This improves the quality of life and prevents disease.
Yet the water project is only one of the many forms of assistance Singapore provides to foreign countries. China can draw from its experiences. Full story
