After seeking a second opinion on his mental state, human rights lawyer M Ravi has filed a medical report that certifies him fit to practise law.
His representative, Louis Joseph, tendered a letter submitted by senior consultant psychiatrist Dr Munidasa Winslow in court on Thursday morning in response to an application for a court order by the Law Society for Ravi to submit to a mental health examination.
According to the letter, a copy of which Yahoo! Singapore received Thursday afternoon, Ravi had been examined on four separate occasions between July and October, the fourth of these appointments occurring on Wednesday.
“His Bipolar Disorder appears to be in remission, and there was no evidence of pressure of speech or any mood swings,” wrote Dr Winslow in the letter. Full story
