Singapore Nightclub Sees Potential in Nearby KL

Although residents of the two neighboring countries regularly cross the border—Singaporeans made 13.3 million leisure visits in 2011, according to Malaysia—and many businesses operate in both countries, Singaporean nightclubs have shied away from Malaysia. According to local media, only two Singapore nightspots have a presence in Kuala Lumpur: Zouk, Singapore’s oldest nightclub, opened in Kuala Lumpur in 2004, followed by Neverland, a Singapore-owned disco that set up shop in Malaysia’s commercial capital last year.
