JOHOR BARU, July 7 — Johor police have arrested three men believed to be behind the robbery and kidnap of a Singaporean family.
Police said they also seized a pump gun with live bullets, two pistols, a Royal Malaysia Police badge, two stolen cars, 14 mobile phones, numerous identification cards, ATM cards and personal belongings of robbery victims.
State police chief DCP Datuk Mohd Mokhtar Mohd Shariff told reporters today that the suspects are believed to be part of an armed gang robbery syndicate and may have been involved in robbing and extorting former Singapore television journalist Rita Zahara Mohd Nazeer on July 1. Full story
