SINGAPORE, July 18 — An underground scaffolding has collapsed at a construction site for the Downtown Line this morning, at the junction of Victoria Street and Rochor Road.
A Land Transport Authority (LTA) spokesperson said that at about 6.50am, the temporary scaffolding "used for the construction of the new Downtown Line Bugis Station subway link roof slab" gave way.
Eight workers who were working on top of the structure were injured and sent to the nearby Raffles Hospital. One worker has since been discharged. At the time of report, another two workers are still unaccounted for, said the LTA. Full story
