Speaking to local media on Thursday, the Traffic Police addressed the recent spate of high-speed accidents -- particularly at the junction in Bugis -- by assuring the public that they are currently reviewing the penalties for various traffic offences.
They will also be digitalising all speed cameras and red-light cameras so as to enable motorists to receive their summons faster, reported Channel NewsAsia (CNA).
The Traffic Police's announcement comes after two high-speed crashes occurred at the intersection of Rochor Road and Victoria Street -- the latest of which happened just last Saturday when a Lexus ran a red light and slammed into a taxi. Full story
