THE number of Malaysians who surrendered their citizenship since 2002 to May 2012 has increased to 47,769, Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein told the Dewan Rakyat.
Hishammuddin said from the total, 40,624 of the Malaysians who gave up their citizenship have since become Singapore citizens, Australia (1,906), Brunei (1,350), United States (724) and Taiwan (711). Full story
