Workers’ Party (WP) chief Low Thia Khiang has lashed out at what he called attempts to “sabotage” his party over remarks made about the Non-Constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP) scheme.
Earlier on Tuesday, WP’s candidate for the Hougang by-election Png Eng Huat clarified the “confusion” that arose after he told Channel NewsAsia in an interview that he had taken his name out of the ballot for the NCMP post after the General Election last year.
An unknown person then released minutes of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) meeting to pick the WP NCMP, which show that Mr Png’s name was in the running. Full story
