SINGAPORE--The Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA) plans to auction the 1800MHz, 2.3GHz, and 2.5GHz spectrum bands in the upcoming 4G airwaves auction, with winning bidders expected to set up coverage as early as mid-2016.
In a consultation paper issued on Tuesday, IDA said it has decided to open the three spectrum bands for bidding due to their suitability for urban deployment to provide mobile data capacity and are the most commonly used specturm for 4G rollout currently. Full story
