Singapore GIC in Talks to Buy Stake in GVK’s Singapore Unit

The Government of Singapore Investment Corp. is in talks with GVK Group about buying the Indian firm’s Singapore unit, which owns Australia’s Hancock Coal, the Financial Express newspaper reported Wednesday, citing two unnamed sources.
The unit, GVK Coal Developers Singapore, is valued at $2 billion, the newspaper cited one of the people as saying. Full story
