OPINION: Temasek on top in SE Asia bank stake swap — John Foley

APRIL 2 — Temasek is rejigging its portfolio of banking investments. And the terms are, as usual, in its favour. The Singaporean fund is swapping a 67 per cent stake in Bank Danamon of Indonesia for an enlarged share of Singaporean lender DBS. If all goes well, Temasek could make around US$2 billion (RM6 billion). And if it doesn’t, it will be other DBS shareholders who end up nursing a paper loss. Full story
