inSing.com, 21 Mar 2012A controversial short film inspired by Singapore's most experienced executioner - Darshan Singh - might be hitting the big screen soon.
Mr Singh was one of the key characters explored in the book 'Once a Jolly Hangman – Singapore Justice in the Dock' by British author Alan Shadrake.
The book was highly critical of the country's judicial system as well as capital punishment.
Shortly after the book was officially launched in Singapore, Shadrake was arrested and charged with criminal defamation. He was jailed for about five weeks. Full story
