Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Manpower Tharman Shanmugaratnam has called on companies in Singapore to be fairer to their employees, in particular their older and lower-income workers.
“I would like to urge businesses to hire fairly based on the merit of the candidate, and at the same time, take steps to harness the full potential of Singapore’s workforce,” he said, adding that companies should also redesign jobs to meet the needs of older workers. Full story
