Singapore World Cup plans rocked by injuries, National Service issues

National Service issues and injuries have cast a cloud over Singapore's preparations for their FIFA World Cup qualifier against Iraq later this month.
The Lions travelled to the Middle East on Tuesday without Hariss Harun, Safuwan Baharudin, Shakir Hamzah and Yasir Hanapi, all four not being allowed to travel because of their on-going National Service commitments.
Also absent for both games will be the injured LIONSXII pair of Izwan Mahbud and Juma'at Jantan, further trouble for Singapore Radojko Avramovic, who - not surprisingly - was far from happy with the disruption. Full story
