MRT service disruption on North-South Line forced commuters to alight at Yio Chu Kang Station

STOMPer Philip says the train he was travelling on this morning (Feb 14) was moving at a snail's pace, managing to travel only from Yishun to Yio Chu Kang in half an hour. Passengers were eventually forced to alight at Yio Chu Kang.
A similar delay had also occurred yesterday at Lakeside MRT at about 4pm in the afternoon.
The STOMPer related the incident:
"Just now, when SMRT tweeted that there was a 'slight' delay on train services headed to Marina Bay, I knew something was not right.
"It's not just a 'slight' delay. It took us 30min to travel from Yishun to Yio Chu Kang. Full story
