More drivers use mobile phones while driving in Singapore

SINGAPORE (Xinhua) -- Singapore police issued bills for 271 drivers per month on average for using mobile phones while driving in the first nine months of the year, local media reported on Tuesday.
A total of 2,930 drivers received bills for using cell phones while driving in 2010, up from 2,867 in 2009.
The newspaper said its reporter spotted four drivers using cell phone in about twenty minutes on a busy road in the downtown area, while two were spotted smoking and another driver using a towel to wipe his face. Full story
