In a press release on the same day, PUB said that “prolonged heavy rain fell over the southern and central parts of Singapore”.
The national water agency added that flood waters reached up to a height of 30 cm for some areas but said that there was no flooding at Orchard Road.
However, it said that “water ponded at the open area of Liat Towers, the underpass between Lucky Plaza and Ngee Ann City, and the basement of Lucky Plaza due to the sustained heavy downpour”. Full story
