Singapore commemorates philanthropist Tan Kah Kee

SINGAPORE, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Hundreds of people attended a seminar in Singapore on Saturday to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the death of Tan Kah Kee, a well-known philanthropist and entrepreneur who has had a lasting legacy in both southeast Asia and China.
The seminar was held at the Hwa Chong Institution, one of the schools founded by Tan himself during his lifelong donation to the education causes. It gathered scholars, government officials, some of his descendants as well as other guests from Singapore, Malaysia and China. Full story
