Huang Yicheng, 29, an IT engineer from Singapore, appeared in Oamaru District Court yesterday facing two charges of careless driving causing injury.
The court was told Huang failed to give way at the intersection of State Highway 83 and SH1 on October 5.
His car pulled out into the northern lane and collided with the couple, who were travelling north on SH1 in a truck towing a caravan. Full story
