OLONGAPO, Philippines (AP) — Police in the Philippines say an accident at a northern shipyard has killed five workers and seriously injured eight others.
Deputy police chief Ramil Menor of Zambales province's Subic township says workers doing welding were crushed when a steel platform at the Subic Shipyard and Engineering Inc. collapsed Friday. The yard is managed by Singapore's Keppel Shipyard Limited. Full story
