World Bank to Set Up Knowledge and Financial Hub in Singapore

The World Bank Group will make Singapore a hub for knowledge and financial activities and aims to employ 70 in the city-state within three years.
The hub will be the first combined World Bank Group office outside Washington, offering products and services from across its units, World Bank President Robert Zoellick said in a speech prepared for delivery in Singapore today. Bert Hofman, the bank’s chief economist for the East Asia Region, will be the office director. Full story
