Temasek keen to buy Sydney's Kurnell desalination plant

The French group Degremont, which is owned by Suez Environnement, has already told the state government it is interested in acquiring the asset, while the Singapore government's investment fund, Temasek Holdings, has indicated it is keen to extend its presence in the city water-processing sector.
Temasek, via the Singapore-listed CitySpring Infrastructure Trust, owns and operates Singapore's desalination plant.
It also has a sizeable Australian exposure via the Basslink electricity connection, between Victoria and Tasmania, which it bought four years ago for $1.75 billion. Full story
