Singapore's players have slammed Lebanese referee Andre El Haddad following Friday's controversial 2-1 World Cup Group A qualifying defeat in China.
Singapore had taken a shock 33rd minute lead through veteran striker Aleksandar Duric, only for China to draw level from the spot in the second period when El Haddad penalised Shaiful Eash for a nothing challenge on Yu Dabao. The hosts doubled their tally moments later when Yu Hai tapped in from close range.
The poor officiating proved too much for an enraged Avramovic who was duly sent to the stands by El Haddad following his vehement protests. Full story
