According to media reports, the mainland Chinese family sought out the services of Singapore's Community Mediation Centre (CMC), as they could not stand the smell of the curry coming from the home of their Singaporean Indian neighbors.
The mediator concluded the Indian family should agree to cook curry only when their Chinese neighbors were not at home.
To me, the result was absurd. The fact that this case was highlighted by the CMC as a success -- regardless of it being highlighted for its mutually agreed upon outcome -- was even more absurd. Full story
