The Workers' Party (WP) has decided against building offices at the HDB void decks.
The party cited financial costs and uncertainty over what kind of activities it could hold in the area as among the reasons for its decision.
Said WP in a statement, "While the WP appreciates HDB's gesture, it is nothing more."
The statement noted that checks with HDB showed it will not bear the construction cost of the office and MPs would have to pay to reinstate the void deck to its original condition when the space is no longer required. Full story
