KUALA LUMPUR, July 15 — A Singapore film production company today denied rumours that Hong Kong superstar Tony Leung has been tapped to play the republic’s founding father in an upcoming movie about the island state’s separation from Malaysia.
Dismissing the widely-reported rumours of Leung’s role in the movie “1965”, Homerun Asia chief executive officer Daniel Yun said parts have yet to firmed up for the production.
“The rumours on the cast are factually inaccurate. The casting is on-going and no cast is confirmed,” Yun said today on Homerun’s website. Full story
