Singapore's jobless rate rises to 2.1 per cent

Singapore - Singapore's jobless rate inched up to 2.1 per cent in the second quarter, mainly due to a seasonal influx of students and graduates onto the labour market, officials said Friday.
The rate was up from a three-year-low of 1.9 per cent in the previous quarter, as graduates looked for jobs and students sought vacation employment, the Ministry of Manpower said. Full story
