SingTel's Optus Signs A$800 Million Deal Australia's NBN Co

SYDNEY -(Dow Jones)- Singapore Telecommunications Ltd.'s (Z74.SG) Australian unit Optus said Thursday it has agreed a A$800 million deal to sell its hybrid fiber customer base to the government's NBN Co.
Under the deal, which is part of the government's planned roll out of a national broadband network, Optus will begin to migrate its customers to the NBN network on a staged basis, likely beginning in 2014. Full story
