Some kindergartens and childcare centres run by the PAP Community Foundation (PCF) will be raising their fees soon to cover the ‘cost of operations’, according to a report by state-run Channel News Asia.
In an email reply to queries from CNA, a PCF spokesperson wrote:
“The need to increase fees is based on the branch’s finances. Sometimes, the fund-raising efforts by the advisers help to cover the cost of operations. But this is not the long-term solution.”
The fees will only be increased in some centers which are ‘losing money’ and are not across the board. Full story
