Singapore ended March with 7.384 million mobile users, up from 7.320 million in February. The mobile penetration rate grew to 145.5 percent from 144.2 percent a month earlier, according to figures from regulator IDA. Of the total mobile subscribers in Singapore, 265,200 are 2G postpaid subscribers, 2.123 million are 2G prepaid subscribers, 3.557 million are 3G postpaid subscribers, and 1.439 million are 3G prepaid customers. The number of broadband subscribers went up to 8.192 million from 8.053 million in February. Of the total, 564,100 use xDSL, 681,000 subscribers access the internet via cable, 6.923 million use wireless broadband, and 24,200 subscribers use other access technologies. Furthermore, some 64,800 people still used dial-up technology in March, down from 65,800 in February. Link
