Records missing on A380 engines

BRITISH engine manufacturer Rolls-Royce was unable to tell how many more of its Airbus A380 engines might explode after last year's Qantas near-disaster near Singapore because of a lack of records.
A new report released yesterday also reveals the manufacturer failed to detect sub-standard oil-feed pipes - identified as the cause of the Qantas engine explosion - in four engines for which it did have records. Full story
