The architect of modern Singapore, former Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, has stepped down from active politics.
Change to Singapore's political landscape continues, after the recent election sent a strong message to the ruling People's Action Party.
The PAP was re-elected with 60 per cent of the vote, but the election of six opposition MPs is seen as a significant shake-up for the ruling party, which has been in power since the city-state's independence in 1965. Link
